Hi there!

I’m a Clinical Psychologist based in Ohio and I’ve been helping people improve their mental health since 2012. With a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science, I bring a unique perspective to the table.

My journey to becoming a psychologist started later in life. Before that, I worked as a software engineer in Pittsburgh, PA, and later became a professor of Information Technology for 12 years at Defiance College. Along the way, I also managed to play collegiate basketball at Slippery Rock University (Go Rock!) and completed my Master’s degree in Computer Science at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

When I’m not working, I’m a proud mother of three amazing children. My oldest is getting married soon, my middle child is always exploring the world, and my youngest is still in high school. Being a mom has taught me so much about patience, resilience, and the importance of building strong relationships. That’s why I’m passionate about providing quality care and support for all my clients on their journey towards better mental health.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is centered on empathy and compassion. I believe that everyone deserves to be heard and understood, and I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where my clients can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings.

I understand that seeking therapy can be a daunting experience, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety symptoms, depression symptoms, or any other concerns, I’m committed to helping you find the tools and strategies you need to overcome your challenges and live your best life.

My goal is to provide you with personalized care and support that meets your unique needs. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I’ll work with you to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals and values. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts and feelings, identify patterns, and develop strategies to help you achieve your desired outcomes.

So if you’re ready to take the first step towards better mental health, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to help you live your best life!

How long does therapy take?

The length of therapy varies depending on your unique needs and goals. Some clients may see significant improvement after just a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. We’ll work together to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals and values, and we’ll regularly check in to ensure that we’re making progress towards your desired outcomes.

How can therapy help me?

Therapy can help you by providing a safe and supportive environment to explore your thoughts and feelings, identify patterns, and develop strategies to overcome your challenges. Through therapy, you can learn new coping skills and gain a deeper understanding of yourself, which can lead to improved mental health and overall well-being.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be beneficial for anyone who is struggling with mental health issues or simply looking to improve their overall well-being. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward, therapy can provide the support and guidance you need to make positive changes in your life.

What can I expect during my first therapy session?

During your first therapy session, we’ll spend some time getting to know each other and discussing your reasons for seeking therapy. I’ll ask you some questions to help me better understand your unique needs and goals, and we’ll work together to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your values and priorities.
